Monday Morning Quarterback

WOW!!!  What a great day yesterday!

I am going to do my best to try and give you an overview of what God is doing during our Sunday services every Monday morning.  With training camps in the NFL set to open in about 6 weeks, I thought the Monday Morning Quarterback theme would suffice.

Our 4th Annual Car and Motorcycle was a great success on Saturday.  Thousands came and checked out hot rods, antique cars and motorcycles.  We gave away over 3,000 hot dogs again.  Wow!!!!!  I am thankful and grateful for every volunteer who took the time to minister.  This show is a big operation and requires hundreds of volunteers.  Thank you again for all each of you do for JESUS!!!!

I am privileged to get to experience anointed intercession every Sunday morning with a different group of men and/or ladies in my study.  Yesterday was no exception.  The heavens opened up and we had church before church.  This anointing transitioned right into the worship services where we met face to face with our Lord in song and preaching.

During our three worship services we were able to baptize 23 people.  That never gets old!

I preached yesterday on the subject of Jealousy using the lives of King Saul and David from 1 Samuel 18.  I had way too much material but was able to hopefully make a connection with God’s Word to those of us who struggle at times with our sin-nature relating to jealousy.

We had a great elder’s meeting last night until around 8:45 or so.  I love our staff and our elders.  I cannot wait to see what God will continue to do.

Don’t forget our prayer time tomorow night from 7-8 p.m.

Vacation Bible School cranks up Monday week!  Hundreds and hundreds of students will make Valley View their home next week.  Pray earnestly for them to receive the Gospel.

Have a blessed week!
