Weeks have gone by in the preparation for our new worship service starting at Eleven44!
* Our staff will have a de-brief tomorrow morning to sort out our first day of three worship services.
* Preliminary reports say it was a great day of transition between the Lifegroups and Worship service.
* Almost 2500 in worship; LG numbers will come in tomorrow.
* Another 5 decisions for Jesus came forward during the invitation.
* Another 30 plus texts came in during and after the three invitations. We will see where this takes us!
* Rod, worship rocked again today. The Revelation Song was over the top again.
* We baptized 14 today as part of our Eleven44 kickoff!!! We will have baptismal services again next week!!! Can’t wait!
* I would love to have you follow me on twitter if your time allows. I am new to this “twitting” deal, but I am picking it up a little better.
* Pastorjfc on twitter!
* My trip to Tampa for the Missions Conference was awesome. I got to hang out with Kelly and Beth Green. Pastor Craig at South Tampa Fellowship is doing a great job. He has been their pastor for almost two years. I cannot wait to see what happens in the future for this great church.
* I flew back to Huntsville from Tampa where Jo and Zeke picked me up. We attended my nephew Rigg’s high school football game against Hartselle High School. It was a good game with #2 Hartselle beating Athens HG 32-22. It was a great time with family before we loaded up and headed back home to Louisville on Saturday evening.
* My Auburn Tigers beat the University of Tennessee 23-20 on Saturday night. I am glad time ran out, Tennessee was on the way back with the momentum. Coach Chizik is doing a great job. Who would have ever thought we would be 5-0 heading into the Arkansas game.
* I will be teaching out of the book of 1 Peter this coming Wednesday night in our continuing study of this short, yet powerful Epistle. We will pick back up on verse 11 in chapter 2. Read along with me as we study the Scripture together.
* Let me close this evening with a great quote from 7-time Tour winner and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong: Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever! LA
* Don’t you quit, God has great plans just for you. Jeremiah 29:11
