Read more...Wow! What a great day yesterday. Father’s Day is always a special time for my family. Jo and Zeke go all out and make me feel like I am doing a pretty good job of being a husband and daddy. My favorite gift was a new Starbuck’s gift card. God is good!
My parents arrived on Friday night and we got to spend some good time together in spite of busy weekend of visits, a great trip with our widows to Indiana and our cars being broken into after my parents arrived. Don’t worry, its all good.
I got to honor my dad yesterday and remembered it was our first Father’s Day worshipping together in several years. We had three great altar calls and I believe some men of God made decisions to step up to the plate and become a warrior for their family.
I am including my sermon notes with this post. The theme Distracted Warrior comes from a sermon series by Craig Groeshel. Craig is a great preacher and author. He is greatly influencing my life by his work for the Lord.
Blessings to you this week. Don’t forget to pray for student camps this week. Both our middle and high school students will be away. Pray for eyes and ears to be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Read more...We had over 600 kids and over 800 total the first day of VBS. I am thankful for the 260+ volunteers who make this week happen. Pastor Mark did a great job getting us started and Ms. Shannon led us in worship. The kids were pumped and everyone is anticipating what God might do tomorrow. By the way, the boys won the opening day of “pennies for missions.” I believe the girls are sandbagging waiting until the end of the week. I will keep you up to date.
Blessings, Joel
